Bacula Administrator I Training

Prerequisites:

  • A reasonably strong knowledge of Linux
  • Systems administration skills

Goals:

  • Obtain the Bacula code
  • Build, install and configure Bacula on your own system
  • Design and run a backup scheme
  • Configure backup jobs for disks and auto-changers
  • Diagnose and debug problems
  • Learn to monitor day-to-day operations
  • Set up and perform restore operations

(The course can be re-sheduled, depending on the amount of registrations.)

Puppet Practitioner Training

NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED LEVEL COURSE.

In Puppet Practitioner students will learn why they should manage their Puppet infrastructure the right way. Students will learn multiple ways to accomplish tasks in Puppet and how to choose which is most appropriate for a given situation. Students will design and build modules, and extend modules from the Forge. Students will also learn best practices for implementing Roles & Profiles in their infrastructure.
